The Vamps New Album is A Blow

The Vamps - Night and Day (Night Edition) |
So... I'm guessing that many of you have purchased the new album, or even if you haven't, you must have heard it on the radio or just listen to it online (streaming). I'm one of those streaming people. And I know that they've posted a lot of teaser before and I could have guessed that they new album is a lot more electronic than pop (anyway they still sound good). And I guess from their previous three singles; All Night, Middle of the Night and Hands, we could all guess they have changed their direction of music.
Their new album is called "Night and Day" if you don't know and it was released on July 14, 2017, just a few days ago (so it's still hot). They're releasing two versions on digital iTunes "Night and Day" and "Night and Day (Night Edition). And also if you live in the UK, you can purchase their limited personal edition; James Edition; Connor Edition; and Tristan Edition.
"The collector edition bundle comes with a poster of each of the boys and 6 exclusive tracks from Tris, Con and James. You can still order at GetVamps dot com and this is the only way to own these bonus songs" that's what The Vamps said on their official Instagram account. I know right! So unfair.
To be fair, the album "Night Edition" consists of 10 new songs and 15 live performances of their O2 Arena concert. At least I get a glimpse of their live performances. They sound sooo good live. Aside from talking how good they are on live, so in total you'll get 25 tracks in their new album. And as I said, if you purchase it on GetVamps.com you'll get more tracks. But if you purchase Night and Day without the "Night Edition" you'll only get 8 tracks, excluding my fave song "My Place" (seriously you need to check this song out).
So let's talk about the tracks. Well, to be honest at first I got a little disappointed because they are changing their direction. I mean they used to be so... irresistible, you know with their "Oh Cecilia" and "Hurricane" oh and don't forget my favorite on "High Hopes". They sound like angels coming down from the heaven. Their colorful songs were what made me so into their music (before I also got into them haha). But when the "Middle of the Night" was released, I got a little bit upset, just a little bit. Because it sounded like a downgrade to me, and I enjoyed All Night, so at that time I was expecting Middle of the Night would sound better. But anyway it's still a good song (but definitely not on the top thirty of The Vamps songs).
And to me their new album sounds surprisingly good, especially the song called "My Place" (it's my favorite one already). It still has that color of candy-pop The Vamps used to do and also has the dance beat. The track lists are honestly really good, although I still wish they hadn't changed their music. But musicians will always grow and we can't expect them to stay the same all the time. So I'm appreciating their music and all the effort they've put into it.
I'm just glad that the album I've been waiting for finally came out. It is left for me now to wait for 5 Seconds of Summer new album, which I'm pretty sure they will be releasing soon.
Anyway, gotta go do stuffs, see ya later :)
